Women's Ministry organizes a school supply give away each August for disadvantaged children in our community (kindergarten through high school) who struggle in buying these necessities for the upcoming school year. This outreach program starts early each year and is sustained by your ongoing donations, whether they be in cash or relevant supplies that the Women's Ministry accumulates until the August event. Anyone can help and all are encouraged to do so.
Women's Ministry partners with Saint Vincent De Paul who lends financial help and has been known to donate boxes of supplies to the cause. The last few years has seen help to about 65 to 80 families and 150 to 180 struggling kids. No one is turned away and no proof of income is required. This project continues to grow each year and we are pleased to now include backpacks and flash drives in our inventory.
Watch for flyers around town advertising dates of the event or contact the church office in Mid- August for detailed information.
