El Elyon
“El Elyon” means “God Most High”. Nothing in life is more sacred. God Most High reigns supreme; is greater than any force of darkness; bigger than any problem. I like to think of Him as “greater than”. GOD > ______(anything you can write in on that line.)

Psalm 7:17 ~ “I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high.”
El Roi
El Roi is “The God Who Sees.” This has been a comfort for me many, many times when I’m tempted to ask: “Do You care? Do You see? Are You aware?” Yes, He sees…He cares…He knows! He chases after me with goodness and mercy.
This comes from the story in the Old Testament of Hagar. She had run away to a desert place from those who had hurt and betrayed her. God surrounded her with much grace and care. He didn’t leave her alone in her desperation and troubles.
Scripture:
Genesis 16:13 ~ “You are the God who sees me,” for she said, “I have now seen the One who sees me.”
El Shaddai
This is translated as God Almighty. He is all-powerful. He is the Mighty One. He is the Most High. We find refuge and rest in His shadow. He gives security and assurance that nothing else around us can offer. He sees all, knows all, and has the power to go before us, walk with us, and shield us from behind. Dwelling in His presence gives us shelter.

Psalm 91:1 ~ “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.”
The name El Shaddai (Genesis 17:1) is the oldest of the divine names and was given by Abraham. This name appears 48 times in the Bible, 31 of which are in Job. “Shaddai” actually means “mountain”, so El Shaddai has a meaning “God, the One of the mountains.” (Bakers Evanglical Dictionary)
Elohim
Elohim is “God.” He is the One and only God. He is Supreme. He is over nature, this world, the heavens above, and all that He has created. He reminds us every single day that He is Elohim. Every sunrise, every sunset, the way the stars are held in the sky, the way He carries His loved ones through difficulty…He is God.
The name Elohim occurs more than 2,250 times in the Bible. Next to Lord (Yahweh), Elohim is the major designation for God.

Genesis 1:1 ~ “In the beginning God (Elohim)created the heavens and the earth.”
Psalm 19:1 ~ “The heavens are telling of the glory of Elohim God; And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.”
Prayer:
What comfort it is to know You alone are God. You alone are all powerful. You alone are most high and mighty. You are the God who sees. Not only do You see, You care. You don’t leave me alone in my wilderness experiences.
