Some Thoughts:
Easter Monday is known by various names, including Bright Monday, Renewal Monday, and Little Easter. Even though it is not a federal holiday, the annual White House Egg Roll takes place on this day, a tradition dating back to 1878.
I am thinking of today as “Reflection Monday.”
In reflecting on all the reading of the events of Holy Week, I was thinking of the attributes of Jesus which were so evident during the week before He went to the cross. He was Submissive, Sacrificial, Willing, Humble, Passionate, Obedient, Loving, Selfless…
Jesus never lost track of His mission. His words to His disciples and the one on the cross (“You will be with Me in paradise”) were an example of His “mission” to bring all to salvation; that none should perish. II Peter 3:9.
He showed us in some many ways WHO HE IS, and He said, “If you’ve seen Me, you’ve seen the Father.” (John 14:9). He showed us WHO GOD IS.
As we think about who He is, we can praise Him and thank Him for not only showing us the Father, but bringing us to the Father.
